Virtual Hangouts for Young Adults Affected by Breast Cancer
YSC Virtual Hangouts are protected spaces where survivors, thrivers and co-survivors can come together and share their experiences. Dedicated peer leads show up and help create those deep connections.
Each Virtual Hangout is co-led by a survivor, thriver or co-survivor and a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) to increase your access to tailored support.
The heart of our Virtual Hangouts remains the same: peer-led support. Peer leads provide the critical lived experience of a young adult affected by breast cancer. LCSWs ensure you have both lived and clinical expertise in every session.
LCSW’s:
- Specialize in providing emotional support, coping strategies, and guidance through life’s challenges.
- Are often skilled in trauma-informed care and navigating medical systems.
- Can offer tools to help you manage stress, anxiety, and life after a cancer diagnosis.
