TCS New York City Marathon

Join Team YSC and dedicate your run to support young adults affected by breast cancer. YSC is honored to be an Official Charity Partner for the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon, organized by New York Road Runners (NYRR). This is the largest marathon in the world, with 55,643 finishers in 2024 representing 137 countries and all 50 states in the U.S.

YSC has 5 runner bibs to share with committed runners in the YSC community who will participate and raise critical funds to support more than 20,000 young adults affected by breast cancer every year.


Why Join Team YSC?

Breast cancer is different for young adults under age 40 and they often face issues that impact their quality and length of life including:

  • Being diagnosed with more aggressive forms of breast cancer with higher fatality rates.
  • Fertility issues that may affect their ability to have children.
  • Early onset menopause from treatment.
  • Negative impacts to relationships and sexual health.
  • Financial instability from job loss and lack of sufficient health insurance.
  • Systemic racism, discrimination, and language barriers for people of color and LGBTQ+ survivors.
  • Underrepresentation in research studies and clinical trials.

YSC empowers young adults diagnosed with breast cancer age 40 and under by providing free tailored education, culturally-relevant resources and referrals, support and community programs to them and their co-survivors. Through free educational resources and programming, annual conferences, and vibrant local and online support networks throughout the U.S. and abroad, YSC ensures that no young adult faces breast cancer alone.

Running with Team YSC

As a member of Team YSC, you will receive:

  • Guaranteed entry into the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon.
  • Team YSC race bib and swag.
  • Ongoing fundraising assistance from YSC staff and a personalized fundraising webpage.
  • Regular virtual meetings to discuss training and fundraising tips with YSC staff and special guests.
  • Pre-race meetup in New York City to connect in person with other members of Team YSC.

As a member of Team YSC, you will commit to:

  • Raise at least $4,000 for YSC by October 26, 2025.
  • Be an ambassador for YSC by sharing your participation and progress with friends and family.
  • Register for the race no later than September 1, 2025, and pay the entry fee to New York Road Runners ($255 for NYRR members and $315 for non-members).
