This Thanksgiving season we are taking the spirit of coming together to a whole new level. We are announcing a strategic alliance between Dr. Susan Love Foundation for Breast Cancer Research and Young Survival Coalition (YSC).
Our intent is to achieve greater impact together than we could alone.
Our desire is to demonstrate the power of partnerships and what true collaboration can achieve.
Our hope is to raise greater awareness of both organizations and therefore help more people.
As the nation’s leading, progressive breast cancer organizations, this strategic alliance will allow us to expand our current efforts and help more people across the globe.
Both our organizations believe in innovative approaches to breast cancer. At Dr. Susan Love Foundation, this means nontraditional partners and unprecedented research. At YSC this means addressing the unique needs and amplifying the voices of young adults affected by breast cancer.
Above all, we share the same core values of diversity and inclusion, present throughout our staff, volunteer, donor, research and program initiatives.
Through this strategic alliance, we are going to work together to raise awareness that young adults can and do get breast cancer, while growing what has been known as the Army of Women from 400,000 to more than 1 million members in the next 18 months, including people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds with or without a diagnosis of breast cancer at any stage.
We look forward to sharing more about this exciting strategic alliance as we move from strong to stronger.
Happy Thanksgiving,
- Jennifer Merschdorf, CEO of Young Survival Coalition
- Christopher Clinton Conway, CEO of Dr. Susan Love Foundation
