Meet Megan
Megan began her fundraising career at the age of seven when she sold more than 200 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies to family, friends, and neighbors in one season. Her interest in her community, a love for research and writing, and a passion for helping others do the most good led her to embark on a career in nonprofit management and development. In the last 15 years, Megan has raised millions of dollars for arts and culture, education and social service organizations by building meaningful relationships with people who champion these causes.
Prior to her position as Director of Philanthropy at Young Survival Coalition, Megan was Director of Institutional Giving at the New York Philharmonic. Previously, she held the role of Director of Institutional Giving at the Hetrick-Martin Institute, which is dedicated to serving at-risk LGBTQ+ youth, as well as several fundraising roles at the Museum of Biblical Art. In these positions, she developed strategies to grow contributed revenue from foundation grants and government agencies, corporate partners and individual major gifts.
Megan holds an MBA from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business with concentrations in marketing, management, and global business, and a BA degree from Oberlin College with majors in art history and German studies. In addition to her professional experience, she is a member of CancerCare’s Young Professionals Committee and serves as President of her alumni class for Oberlin. In her free time, she enjoys hiking in the Hudson Valley and volunteering as a running pacer for the Ulman Foundation’s Cancer to 5K training program for cancer survivors.
