Meet Kendal
Kendal Johnson is the Program Associate for YSC’s MBC Thrive program. She supports YSC initiatives, programming, resources, and community-building for young adults living with metastatic breast cancer. Having witnessed the impact of cancer within her own family and community, she is committed to ensuring that MBC thrivers and their co-survivors are supported throughout their cancer journey.
Prior to joining YSC, Kendal worked with the Georgia Center for Oncology Research and Education (Georgia CORE), where she supported statewide initiatives to improve cancer care, health equity, and address the unique needs of survivors in underserved communities. With a background in Public Administration, Kendal contributed to various research projects and community engagement initiatives focusing on disparities in cancer survivorship across Georgia.
When she is not creating change in the cancer space, Kendal is both a youth and high school girls lacrosse coach. She enjoys watching sports and movies in her free time with her dog Zoey. She also is an expert lego builder and an amateur chef.
