Meet Jennifer
Jennifer Turco Beaudet was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007 at the age of 27. She and her husband had been married for just three months, and she was only five months into her first job in private law practice. She was the first woman in her family and the first of her friends to be diagnosed with breast cancer. But she didn’t have to face breast cancer alone. Within one week of her diagnosis, Jennifer found the Young Survival Coalition (YSC), connecting with hundreds of young women affected by breast cancer across the world. Two years later, Jennifer founded YSC’s Manchester, New Hampshire affiliate, and today serves as a YSC State Leader and as coordinator of the Manchester, New Hampshire YSC Face-to-Face Network. In addition to her work with YSC, Jennifer volunteers for the New Hampshire Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence and serves on the AmeriCorps Victim Assistance Program Partnership (the Program’s advisory board). Jennifer lives in Goffstown, New Hampshire, with her husband Jason and their son Henry, born eight years after Jennifer's diagnosis.
