What is Advocacy?

Making a difference in the life of one person. When you stand up for yourself, speak your mind, ask questions, tell one person or 100 people your story...you advocate for yourself and for all young women affected by breast cancer.

Advocacy is a key aspect of the YSC's mission, and we serve as the voice for all young women affected by breast cancer. By lobbying on Capitol Hill and influencing the research being conducted on this population, the YSC advocates for improved treatment options, better health legislation, and for the overall health care and quality and quantity of life for all young women affected by the disease.
